Raam

Privacy Policy

Effective 4 October 2026

Raam processes screen frames, recognised text and its translations entirely on your device. The developer collects no data.

No collection

Raam has no account, analytics, advertising or server connection. Screen contents and recognised text are not sent to the developer or any third party.

Temporary frames

While sharing, Raam's broadcast extension uses one temporary frame inside Raam's private App Group to pass the latest view to the app. It is replaced as the screen changes and deleted when sharing starts, ends or the app next opens.

Remembered translations

To show them faster next time, Raam keeps text it has translated, with its translation, in its own storage on your device. It never leaves the device, and iOS may clear it when space runs low.

Settings and usage

Your chosen languages, preferences and today's free minutes used are stored on your device only. Deleting Raam removes them.

Apple language assets

Translation uses Apple's on-device Translation framework. Apple may download the assets for the languages you choose after asking for your permission. These downloads are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Raam only learns from Apple whether a subscription is active; it never receives your payment details or Apple Account information.

Your control

iOS displays a recording indicator for the whole time you share your screen. You can stop from that indicator or from Raam's red screen-sharing control at any time.

Children

Raam collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
